Return & Refund Policy

Our commitment to the well-being of our puppies means we have strict policies in place. Please read carefully before reserving.

Reservation Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to future litters.

Health Returns

Full refunds or replacements are provided for genetic/viral health issues.

Lifetime Return

We take our dogs back at any age if you can no longer keep them.

1. Reservation Deposits

When you place a deposit to reserve a puppy, we take that puppy off the market. As such, deposits are non-refundable if you simply change your mind.

However, we understand life happens. If you cannot complete the purchase, your deposit can be transferred to any future litter within 12 months.

Exception: If something happens to the puppy while in our care (illness/injury) before you pick them up, your deposit will be 100% refunded immediately.

2. Returns for Health Reasons

As outlined in our Health Guarantee, if your licensed veterinarian finds a genetic defect or life-threatening illness within the covered timeframe:

  • You may return the puppy for a full refund of the purchase price.
  • OR, you may choose a replacement puppy of equal value.

Veterinary documentation is required for all health-related claims.

3. “Change of Heart” Returns

Puppies are living creatures, not products. We generally do not accept returns because of allergies, landlord disapproval, or personal schedule changes after the puppy has left our care.

Please ensure you have done your research on the Dachshund breed and have approval from family/landlords before adoption.

4. Surrender Policy

If for any reason you can no longer care for your dog (divorce, moving, financial hardship), you must return the dog to us. We do not want our dogs in shelters.

Note: This is a surrender, not a refund. No money will be exchanged, but we promise to find them a loving new home.
